Exactly as the title says...I can't find the answer on the Vassar website. Will it count against me if they don't do alumni interviews and I can't visit?

From the website under Visit Vassar:

Interviews Conducted by members of the Vassar Alumni Admission Program, interviews are available but not required for admission. Alumni interviews are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and are offered in most United States metropolitan areas and in some foreign countries. To request an interview, please check the interview box on Part I of the Vassar application or on the Vassar Supplement to the Common Application. Please note that Early Decision interview request deadlines are earlier than the Early Decision application deadlines:

EDI
interview request deadline is November 7.

EDII
interview request deadline is December 14.

We strongly suggest that all candidates request interviews well before the application deadline. You must also submit Part I and your application fee or waiver request in order to be considered.

Thanks entomom...guess I missed that part!

I probably won't be able to visit the campus because I live so far away, even though Vassar is my first choice, and I can't apply ED because of my financial situation. Will requesting an interview show sufficient demonstrated interest, or should I try to find a way to visit?

bump.......
