<p>Did anyone else miss the deadline to request an interview? It was January 1st.</p>
<p>Since the Vassar rep emphasized over and over the interviews are not evaluative, my son didn’t bother to request one.</p>
<p>I wish more local applicants would request interviews. It’s a lovely opportunity to talk to aspiring Vassar students, and for the students to talk to enthusiastic alumnae/i.</p>
<p>But of course, they don’t really count in admissions, even though we alumnae/i do evaluate the applicants.</p>
<p>Hmm I’m an international applicant from China, and I had an interview with Dean Borus in September. As far as I know, interviews can help, because a Chinese girl I know who got accepted through ED this year told me that dean said he really enjoyed the interview with her in the acceptance letter. </p>
<p>But maybe interviews with alumnae/i don’t count into admission decision?</p>
