And if so are they giving them any trouble?

My former college did have one but the students still ate there when the CEO voiced his opinion. DON'T TURN THIS INTO A POLITICAL DEBATE. Just yes or no and what is your school doing about the store.

Yes, we have a Chick-Fil-A on campus, but since its summer right now, I suppose not much is happening about it. I’m sure we’ll see more uproar when school starts back up.

The uni that I was originally planning on going to had one. It was one of the most popular restaurants on campus. Plus, they have an all-you-can eat buffet. My cousin ate there a lot.

There’s one at UMD, it’s super popular. I LOVE Chick-fil-A, when I first ate it like 10 years ago I thought “Man, some day I hope I can eat this whenever I want.”

Now I can and honestly I get tired of it if I have it more than once every two weeks. I don’t know of any sort of protests against it but it’s summer so it’s not like there are a lot of students on campus anyway. Maybe when school starts we’ll see something, assuming it stays in the news cycle that long.

Yes, there is only one in the state of Michigan, on Oakland University’s campus. It is closed for the summer and will reopen when school starts.

There used to be one in our student union, but was removed a year ago when they renovated and replaced all of the food offerings with Sodexo options. Dodged a bullet a bit, as the school is quite liberal.

I feel bad for you Northerners. Well, Maryland is pretty Northern too, but still Southern enough to have a fair amount of CFAs. Not that I really wanna eat there any more.

We have a reputation for being on the more liberal side of things. Our home county was one of the few to vote against NC Amendment One, and the school provides benefits to a staff member’s same-sex partner despite no state law requiring them to do so.

So despite it being summer, there is a 500-signature petition and an organizer who is already in contact with the Chancellor. It’ll probably kick up a lot more once students come back. I don’t think they stand much of a chance here.
