<p>I am ranked 3rd but a couple of people have GPAs higher than mine because of my school's weird weighting scale.</p>
<p>I still have all A's and have taken the hardest course load available.</p>
<p>Being in the top three is great. Colleges aren’t generally going to quibble over anyone in top 5%. Now if you attend a school in TX and you are in a class of 4, it might be a problem if your heart is set on UT. In places with huge grade inflation a 4.0 could still be out of top 10%. Doesn’t sound like you have that problem.</p>
<p>The only problem you might run into is that colleges might think you aren’t in all the hardest classes because of your school’s weighting system. It’s won’t be a big deal though.</p>
