Does your PSAT score correlate with your SAT score?

<p>Are yours in the same general range? I'm a junior and I haven't taken the SAT yet... I am a bit disappointed with my PSAT score (I got a 180-something) so I was wondering. I didn't study for the PSAT so I'm hoping after studying I can get over a 1800 :l</p>

<p>SAT was a little higher. I don’t know why. But you’ll probably get over 1800 if you got a 180+ on the PSAT.</p>

<p>I got a 183 on the PSAT and 2050 on the SAT.</p>

<p>Lol I had a massive jump. 189 on psat–> 2270 Sat.</p>

<p>Pretty good correlation for me.</p>

<p>My PSAT was the same with the SAT but with a 0 on the end…</p>

<p>Such as:
127 PSAT ------> 1270 SAT</p>

<p>221 PSAT, 2220 SAT- pretty darn similar.
The breakdown was different, though, and as I’m retaking for a higher math score I hope they’ll start to become more divergent :slight_smile: .</p>

So no real correlation, but I also barely studied for the PSAT.</p>

<p>Minimally. Actually, they’re hardly related at all.</p>

<p>If you have like 220+ you will see a similarity with your PSAT scores. Everything else tend to score at least 50 points higher.</p>

<p>Excellent math scores, 500/50 range on SAT/PSAT respectively…</p>

<p>Yeah, they do correlate and predict nightmares when it comes to the math/science focused person.</p>

<p>Don’t stress yourself out. There’s definitely room for improvement, and a lower PSAT score doesn’t equal a lower SAT score. Also, you might just be an ACT person.</p>
