I will be taking a biological sciences course this summer at a community college and i might not want to transfer the course credit to UCLA. In that case, do i still need to have a transcript sent to the Admissions office?

If you don’t want course credit then you simply don’t send your transcripts nor try to get credit for it(if it’s a pre-req for something at UCLA). You’re not “cheating” on UCLA, you’re just taking a side class on your own time.

Thanks for your input. The class that i will be taking actually satisfies both a GE and a Prep course. However, since I would not be getting grade credit for the course, I thought I would just take the class to give myself a headstart, then take the equivalent UCLA course in Fall 2010.
