I officially hate standarized testing after today. Well actually I've hated it for a while, but still.

I'm at the Morris Inn right now

My jaw has been dropped since I arrived.....

My flight was pretty quick thanks

I thought the math, and english, and writing was easy................ but the science and reading was impossible

Where do we get them early from? ANd when are we suppose to get our scores....

man I love ND

They're available online in about 9 days now for $8. Otherwise the come in 4-7 weeks from now. I think it's worth it... Yeah science sucked. Majorly.

I'm soooooooo jealous that you're at ND right now and I have school tomorrow! :D Are you on spring break or are you just lucky?

Chillin, ur gonna love ND! I absolutely have loved every moment I've ever spent on campus, and hopefully we'll both end up there! There's that feeling when ur on campus....u know that there is something special.

Dancingfeet, the ACT scores are in

Im not to pleased

I did really well in everything except science, and that killed my composite score

I got a 29 ... so hopefully that will get better

Howd you do?

I take my first ACT tomorrow. I've continually gotten 29 on the practice test, so I'm praying for at least 30.

Is anyone else planning on taking SAT subjest test this June?

I'm thinking I might take a subject test in June. Or well, about 3 of them. I didn't sign up in time for May and I don't really want to take them at the start of next school year, so I'll probably take them then. Hopefully I do well on them.
Also, say I make a bad score on one of them and I just decide to send by SAT I scores and not the subject tests, can I do that? Or does it all get sent?

On a totally separate note, I was just notified that I won my first scholarship. It's only $1000, but hey, that's 1/160th of what I'll need for Notre Dame for 4 years.
Plus, this makes me feel better, because tomorrow I'm interviewing for a $10,000 scholarship and one year internship that I'm one of the top 3 finalists for. I mean, I literally found out as I was typing the above part, so I'm pretty excited.
Just figured I'd share =)

Wow, congrats on scholarship. Good luck tomorrow. ;)

Thanks. I'm gonna need it, I think. But hopefully I do good. :)

hey congrats SCS! thats awesome, good luck on that interview!

Umm about the sat

Collegeboard will send EVERYTHING. Meaning, unlike the act, every score is sent to them that you have taken. Every sat II and every sat. So If you do poorly on a sat II but decide to only "send" (pay) the sat I..... the entire sheet will be sent with the sat II and the sat I. I hope that didnt confuse you.

i got a 31 AGAIN. i felt that i did a lot better on this one than on my first one. i was really feeling a 33. i did the exact opposite of what i did on my first one. my october test was:

english: 28
math: 26
reading: 34
science: 35

i was a little pressed for time on the reading and science test on my april test. i went to the most pointless act prep course ever. the only reason i kept going was so i could get a practice test. my april scores were:

english: 35
math: 33
reading: 29 :(
science: 27 :(

as i said earlier, it was almost the exact opposite. if you would superscore my two tests, i would have a 34. why can't notre dame superscore!?!?!?!? then again, if not superscoring is the worst thing that notre dame ever does to me, i will be really lucky.

ugh Golfer teach me your ways on the science. I was above thirty in all my sections except science, which killed my composite.

chillin, no it made perfect sense. I thought that everything got sent, but I wasn't sure. Thanks.

As for the ACT, I still have to take it, but I'm fairly sure my science and math scores won't be as high as either of yours. Those subjects are definitely not my strong points.
Seriously, though, golfer, you're scores are still really good. Maybe just try it once more and see if you can't get all scores to be higher. Still, you're scores are awesome.

any of u guys taking the june 2nd sat reasoning test or are u focusing on the act?

yep jonoam.

Ill be taking the june 2nd sat and then the june 9 act

I refuse to pay the ACT the 8 dollars. It's not really the money, it's the principle they actually CHARGE me to see my scores early. I am PRAYING for a 31 at least....I've gotten 29 on the last two and the last time I wasnt' feeling the test. This one was a little better, (marginally), but hopefully some of the iffys turned out right and my score will go up :). I am doing the SAT in May too, so I hope that goes well. I just don't think I'm a strong standarized test taker, but I thank god it's a holistic application process and not a simple number crunch!

the ACT has probably made a fortune on those early score fees alone. quite honestly, they're being good capatilists if you ask me. its not necessarily a case of supply and demand, but they seem to know what they're doing. but i do agree, paying to see your scores after you already paid for the test is a bit ridiculous, considering when the test costs enough as it is

I don't think I'll be taking the SAT I in June, but I might try for the subject tests. I still don't know when I'm taking the ACT, but I need to soon.

And yea, paying early for the ACT scores is a bit of a rip off, but I guess if you really want to know, you'll do it.

chillin, it won't let me see my score yet. ACT didn't send my testing site real answer forms so we had to fill out PDFs that looked like the forms. So I guess they couldn't score them as quickly. The site said to check back in a week, so I just need to be patient.

And I'm taking the SAT I in June. Have I started studying??? no...

i took the statewide ACT in illinois today. hopefully did better. i got a 33 twice so far; and im visiting ND on friday. hopefully ill like it a lot; but right now im leaning towards USC :/

this forum is going to jump me now that ive said that hahaha
