Domestic / International Student?

Hi,

So i'm applying to CoE early decision, and I've been told that although i'm an american citizen, since i'm living in India, I will be considered in the international pool of applicants (but in the domestic pool for financial aid).

Is this true? and if so,

Does that mean that it's going to be harder for me to get in since the international acceptance rate is probably much lower than the domestic one? If it matters, ethnically i'm Indian but I grew up in NJ.

No, this is incorrect. As a U.S. citizen, you will be treated just like any other domestic applicant. However, your international background will probably give you an advantage over other applications if you can communicate your experiences, etc.

Thank you! This was bothering me for a while.
