International or not?

I am a US citizen living and studying abroad in India. Am I an international student in the eyes of Cornell?

Also, can I file the common application online and mail the supplement, recos and school report to them?

Might be there on the site, but it seems kinda looping and I a all confused

Thanks,
Antarius

As far as I know, you're not international.

School report and teacher recc's/evaluations are always mailed, but for the common app and supplement you need to either mail both or submit both online. :)

Q: How do you consider U.S. citizens abroad and international students attending school in the U.S.?

A: We read applications based on where you currently attend school, rather than by your citizenship status. Your application will be read with others from the school you attend and those from the same state (U.S.) or country.

<a href="http://admissions.cornell.edu/resources/faq_answer.cfm?num=48%5B/url%5D">http://admissions.cornell.edu/resources/faq_answer.cfm?num=48</a></p>

But you can still apply for financial aid without any detriment to your chances, I think.

man it sucks to be studying in a highly competitive country! damn why the hell did i have to graduate from korea? btw antarius, what is your ethnicity? they might count that in, dont know though.

I mailed Cornell... they said that I am national and do NOT need TOEFL or the supplement

Conflicting data...

BTW, I am of Indian Origin. I was just born in the US and thus have their citizenship. I am Indian in every other respect

And I know.. Forget about country... my school is one of the moiost competitive in the state. maybe even country
