don't know what to do..

I just recently graduated from high school with mediocre grades. I didn't try at all as I had no motivation or anything. After high school I wen't to my family's native country due to some family problems and finally returned three days ago. Now that I'm here, I realize I have to register for a community college. Well, I was going to take the assessment/placement test today until I realized that all the classes I would like to take have been filled. I was planning on going to a community college for two years, then transfer to a university. During the summer, I realized that my dream is to become a doctor. I'm now very motivated and feel I can accomplish any goal that I set. I'm positive I can succeed in the medical field and would like to openly pursue it.

My question is, should I register for this fall semester anyways, even though I wouldn't get any of the classes I would like, (such as as chemistry/philosophy) or should I wait until the next semester before registering?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I would register as early as possible.

Register - and inform the profs who teaches the classes that you wanted to take that you want in. There are ALWAYS folks who cancel/don't show up.

Is there another CC in your area? I know that there are a bunch within a short drive of here. Perhaps another CC will have a better selection of courses you want to take.

Register, take some non-science/math classes in the fall to become aclimated, then take the science/math beginning spring once you have your study routine established.
