Dorm assignment

Which dorm will you be living in? Was it one that you requested? I lived in Torrey, Porter, Abbey (first single, junior year) and North Mandelle (Assistant Hall President) and I loved them all, but Abbey was my favorite. The dorms at MHC are far superior to those I have seen at many, many colleges and universities!

I’ll be living in Prospect Hall next year! There was no place to request your top dorms though, unless you wrote it as part of your self description.

@Penguin369, Prospect is a great dorm. Stayed there during one of my reunion weekends. I hope you enjoy it. I’m surprised you weren’t asked for 3 dorms you’d like - when I was accepted and received housing paperwork, they asked you to select 3 - no guarantees or anything, but they tried. I had stayed in Torrey during an overnight visit, so it was familiar and close to the sports complex, so I requested it. I’m hoping for my next reunion to get to stay in the new, “green” dorm. It’s beautiful! Have a great year!

I’ll be living in Wilder. I think I’ll like it because it appears that it has wood floors (something I wanted), it’s in the middle of the campus, and the kosher dining hall is located in the building (I keep kosher). It seems like a good place to be living for my first year.

Yeb901, Wilder is such a great old dorm, with history, and that great front porch! I lived on the first floor (in a single with attached bath) one summer while I worked on campus, and it was cozy. So many of the older dorms have been renovated, but they luckily have kept the charm and beauty in tact. Enjoy your year!

Thank you! I’m looking forward to it.
