Costco has a 4.4 cubic ft dorm fridge with stainless steel finish on sale the week of 8/20-8/26.

After instant rebate ($15) and mail in rebate ($ 15) it nets to $115.00. It has one liter door storage and glass shelves. We paid about $149 for similar unit four years ago.

Not sure if this is too late for move-in but wanted to let you all know about it.

Thanks, eadad. I was going to buy a 4.6 cubic ft Frigidaire unit from Lowes ($168). We do not have Costco in the Syracuse area. Is that a members-only store like BJ's, or is it open to everyone?

too bad theres no Costco in Columbia itself.I know I did a location search last year for one as its my "home" discount warehouse store. That week would be a little late for the move in unless someone was in Charleston or Myrtle Beach and wanted to buy it and haul it back to campus!

I took a look at WalMart.com and Target.com..WalMart has a 4.0 for 139 and are offering a free shipping deal when you order online and send to a store location, which could work to guarantee a unit for you being ready in Cola.Target has a 4.4 for 159.99 but I didnt notice any shipping deal.
I know we didnt order a fridge ahead of time and just walked into Target and bought one of the larger sized ones(not the smallish cube, but maybe a 3.0 not a 4.0 size) with a seperate inside small freezer door.

I noticed Linens n Things has a Haier 3.9 with freezer advertised for $99 after $40 rebate. Does anyone know if they will hold it in store until the 18th. ?

nogimmies,
When Linens N Things ran that ad here in Greenville a while back, we went to the store the next day and they were sold out. They only had 10 of the fridges to come in. So be sure and call right away if you want one. I don't know whether they will hold them or not.
