Dorm help

I am an entering Freshman, Biomedical/Chemical Engineering student. I want a dorm near where all my classes are going to be. I like sleep during the week, but don't mind loud noise on saturday nights. I want a dorm that would mainly be good for studying and concentrating, but also has a community/social scene. Cost is not a problem. Any suggestions?

also I’m from Texas, not Wisconsin (idk if that makes a difference)

There are a lot of dorm threads already. You should go look at those. Your classes will be all spread out as a freshman so don’t worry about being near your classes (though everything’s a fairly short walk). Being from Texas doesn’t matter. If you don’t mind noise on the weekends, Sellery and Witte have a really great freshman social scene, and it’s quiet for the most part during the week, since everyone has to study. If you don’t like drinking, Chadbourne is a good option, as it’s social but not really in a “party” kind of way. Check out the older threads.

Ditto RoxSox. All sorts of info in the past two years threads. My posts go over a lot- the threads they are in will give plenty of info. Once you’re admitted no one cares where you are from for classes and dorms.

Thanks guys. Does Lucky 101 have better dorms and a good freshman scenes?

Lucky is extremely nice, but less “dorm” feeling (everyone’s in their own apartment, so less mingling) and kind of known for snobby rich people. It’s great for some people, but not everyone.
