No bugs that I've heard of. College (not called dorms) vary widely. Dd is happy in some of the ugliest, but completely comfortable and functional surroundings on campus. She doesn't care, and isn't in her room all that often. Martel, and Weiss and some others are very nice.. but the students don't seem to care all that much about it. (At least, I haven't read any complaints in the Thresher, and DD doesn't complain) They care about their COLLEGE and the people in them.

So she's in Lovett then...

I don't think I've ever seen a bug in my dorm room.

And yes, the "dorms" vary in quality. This is just off to the top of my head but I would say Lovett, Baker and Will Rice are merely average.

Sid, Jones, Hanszen and Brown are good.

And Martel and Wiess( both have the newest buildings) are very nice.

But you have to realize, your "dorm" is so much more than the quality of your rooms. You will come to be intensely loyal to your residential college and will love it for all its pros and cons.

There is no point in worrying to much about which college you will get assigned cause it is completely random and you will be brainwashed to love it during o-week.
