north colleges = suburbs of rice
lovett and will rice = partiers but nasty rooms. if you don;t liek to party, there's virtually no upside to these places.
best rooms = martel and wiess.
jones? **** jones!

im from lovett, our rooms arent nasty, but have character unlike the sterilility of martel and weiss. Parties are great...

lovett rooms aren't that bad - we've got a bathroom per suite, which is more than some other colleges can say! and lovett's got a heck of a lot of spirit =)

I've never heard anyone call Will Ricers partiers before!

And Lovett rooms aren't Wiess or Martel, sure, but luckily they aren't old Baker or Will Rice either!

I know at least one cool person from every college, so don't worry too much about where you get put. And search the archives for this question - I know I've posted on it before.

To be honest, you want to get put at a servery college. This is either the north servery(Jones, Brown, Martel) or the south severy(Hanszen, Weiss). No matter what college you get put into they will indoctrinate you during O-week to believe it is the best college at Rice, so don't fret.

Martel rooms rock! You get a nice, spacious common room (if you get lucky, you'll get a six-man singles suite), an attached servery, your own quad, and honestly...the walk around campus is not that bad. I hang out at South colleges just as often as North - it's just the amount of effort you put in to crawl out of your room.
