On my residence hall application I put Witte as my first choice and Sellery as mysecond. What are my odds of actually getting one of the two. I have no preference as they seem fairly similar. Also can someone tell me what life is really like in those two halls. I am an engineering major and really want to live on the southeast side. Is that a bad idea? I am not concerned about the distances to classes either.

Go for it. Everyone has their own list of what they like, regardless of major. You will be taking all sorts of courses in various buildings on campus your first year. There is no good/bad idea there is only what you want to experience at this time.
