Anyone have any new insight into their dorm choice? Was it good or bad? Please recommend/warn the 2010 freshmen.

Daughter lived in Aston (the Commons) last year as a freshman. Pros: mostly freshman, enjoyed her suitemates (they hung out together a lot), it was great having the food court and mini-mart right downstairs. Sort of a con: lots of greeks - great if you are one, but a little annoying if you aren’t. Overall she liked it. This year as a sophomore she’s living in Neely on the Northside. It’s roomier, more upperclassmen, she shares the bathroom with just her roommate, no food court in the building - but it’s right across from Sbisa where the food is SO much better anyway! In her opinion, the Commons was great for freshman year, but she really is enjoying the Northside now. By the way, she did potluck both years and has had wonderful roommates!
