double -- yeah I think you could have found it out last year too. There was a thread I saw from last year called "room assignments" where sweetdreams87 commented that (s)he found out by looking on local addresses in bearfacts the year before that. So if they did it two years ago and are doing it now, my guess is they did it last year too, if they're consistent.

^ or they just hated your class :)

question....so the address that they give you is in the format of...

RM BC-_ _ _ CLEARY HALL
2400 DURANT AVE #_ _ _ _
BERKELEY , CA 94720-2276

but last year, when my friend and i were exchanging letters, her format was..

2400 durant avenue
beverly cleary # _ _ _
berkeley, ca
blah blah blah

sooooooooooooo. for our addresses...which one do they write to? or does it matter?

Beatchick- According to a guy who posted on the Foothill facebook group, the numbering works like this, say you're in F1-1B19C, for example. F1 is the building, Foothill Building One. 1B is the specific area of the building you're in (Map: http://www.rescomp.berkeley.edu/images/maps/wireless-foothill.jpg). 19 is your suite number, with the first digit (in this case 1) being the floor number. C is your specific room within the suite.

cathers, it doesn't really matter. what's important is that you have the building name and room number, as well as your name for any letters you receive.
at least for me, the format last year that i used all the time (and the format they had posted on a big sign above the elevator all year) was:

Your _ Name
2650 Haste St.
Davidson/Griffiths/Towle/Wada/Cunningham/Ehrman/etc for unit 1&3 # _ _ _
Berkeley, CA 94720

azelma, thanks for the info! I'm hopin for a view of the bay!

ah, so apparently i'm on the fourth floor. is this the highest floor at stern? and is stern without an elevator?

Hey ruyi, I'm on fourth floor of Stern as well :) I'm going to assume they have an elevator because I don't want to think about what I'll have to do if they don't
