I think that means you’re in room 203, bed space #1 (bed space doesn’t really mean anything).

Does it indicate floor? :S

Yeap that last number indicates your floor

No, the last number is bedspace, not floor. You’re on the second floor, in room 203 in bedspace 1. When you move in, there is a number (or for suites a letter and a number) on the internet hookup that says which side of the room is what bedspace. Usually 1 is on the left. While some people say it doesn’t matter (and I guess if you make sure everything is good when you move out and your roommate doesn’t care, then it doesn’t), it might. Like if one side of the room is clearly better than the other, your roommate (or you) could pull the “well it’s technically my bedspace” line. Also last year I re-lofted my bed but my roommate did not, and we were technically in the wrong bedspaces. When they went to clean the rooms after we moved out, I got hit with the charge for leaving the bed de-lofted.

oooo sorry about that last post, i totally confused the last number with the first.

I had no clue how to figure out which bedspace was which before this evening! haha

Wait, girls and guys can be on the same floor?
Cuz a lot of girls also have 2 as their last number.

0203-1 means second floor room 203 bedspace 1. Freshman dorms are for the most part guys/girls on different floors.

IV is an exception-- guys and girls on same floor but suites are separated by gender (so girls and guys don’t share bathrooms except on gender-neutral floor).

So which floor am I on?

the first number is the floor. the last number is bed space…

Stetty East! The Prison Dorms!

You are in the second floor, room three. The one is meaningless, as everybody else said.

The Stetsons are the mid-level dorms; Kennedy, IV and Smith are the nice ones, and Melvin and the others looking over the Fens are the ****ty, falling down dorms. Be sad you aren’t in the former and glad you aren’t in the latter.

(I was in East last year, room 313, right across from the bathroom)

Stetsons aren’t that bad- they are just like every other college freshman dorm. And even the people in the buildings on the fens don’t have it that bad. They are old, but they aren’t “falling down”. In fact, they hold up quite a bit better during the bad rain storms than the newer buildings do.

I’m in Speare - heard its ok nothing fancy.
