Dorm Rooms

So what do dorm rooms come equipped with? I'm in a single room in Hinman and am wondering what to expect in the room so that I can plan how to set up my room. I figure the beds are bound to be about 42" x 83" or so, but how big is dresser? The desk? Any other furniture?

Thanks for the help my wonderful CC pals.

Hi Brice,

here are the floor plans for yor building, so you can get some idea about the size of yoru room:

<a href="http://www.dartmouth.edu/%7Eorl/housing/communities/river-tree.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.dartmouth.edu/~orl/housing/communities/river-tree.html</a></p>

Each room contains a bed frame and mattress, dresser, desk, desk chair, and bookcase for each student. The mattress is an extra-long twin mattress and requires extra-long twin size sheets. Mattresses are 36" x 80".In addition, most bed frames may be bunked, allowing for greater flexibility in room furniture arrangements. Some rooms have closets while others have built-in or freestanding wardrobe units.

Each room also contains a towel rack or hook for each student. Every resident will have individual hard-wired Ethernet computer service; each room arrangement also provides cable television and local and domestic long distance telephone service. All windows have either window shades or drapes.
