So I visited GAAP... but had to leave before my dorm visit was scheduled. I stayed overnight in an apartment on campus, which was nice... but was curious if anyone had input on the regular dorms? Are they typical college dorms? Messy? Social? People leave the doors open? Loud...? I am looking for the normal college dorm fun feel, meeting people etc...

New South is the normal, traditional college dorm feel and also the most newly renovated right now. It is the most social.

Village C is probably its opposite largely because of same-sex floors and in-room bathrooms.

Darnall and Harbin are somewhere in the middle with their pluses and minuses.

You have no preference in where you live, however. Though I think they look at what you put on CHARMS, and if it's clear you want to be in a more loud, social, active environment you'll probably end up in New South. At least that's my hope. I'd die if I had to live anywhere else.

At GAAP, a current student mentioned that he intentionally filled out the survey in manner that would land him in New South and it worked.

No, I put that studying was my number one priority and filled out that I wanted a quiet roommate who doesn't drink, and I got put in New South.

New South tends to be more clique-y, at least on my floor. There are people on my floor who I still do not know. Of all the dorms, I would say that the Darnall kids are by far the closest-knit.

but Darnall is just so far away from everyone...

New South has what, a hundred people on each floor? Its not hard to believe that it would be more clique-y...
