<p>I toured NYU today and I really, really, really love Hayden hall. However, I'm RD so I know the chances of getting a room there are very slim because all the ED kids put it down as their top choice. There are some exploration floors that seem cool. Would that help me get a dorm in Hayden? They didn't go into too much detail about the different explorations floors so does anyone have any info at all?</p>
<p>I dont think they send out any housing information until May, including EDs, but I may be wrong…</p>
<p>D thought the same thing, too. So she did not put Hayden down as her first choice because she was afraid she would not get it and it would be a waste. But a bunch of her regular decision friends put Haden down as their first choice and ended up getting it.</p>
<p>So my advice would be to try if it is your favorite dorm.</p>
<p>Son got in early decision and got an email about signing up for housing. It said it had to be done by june 1 along with one thousand dollar deposit. I am not sure if everyone has to respond to housing by june 1 or just early decision kids.</p>
<p>I think everyone needs the thousand dollar deposit by June 1 to secure their housing. Hayden was nice and from the people I talked to you usually get your top 3 choices so it’s not a waste to put it down at all. What can you lose by placing it number 1?</p>
<p>Early decision all got our stuff for housing on March 25. I’m pretty sure a lot of ED already paid and signed up for housing (me=Hayden).</p>
<p>Would I have a better chance of getting into Hayden if I put down an Explorations floor?</p>
<p>Also, if you find a roommate and you both put down Hayden as your first choice, will that give you a better chance?</p>
