Dorms/housing

Where are the best dorms for incoming freshmen?

T-Hall then Frontier

I heard the super blocs were the best?

According to the site, T-Hall and Frontier are SuperBlocks, they’re just Freshman only SuperBlocks.

impersonations: why is T-Hall better than Frontier?

Two of my friends went through T-Hall last year and I have more this year. If you want to be where the action is at, go to Territorial. Unless you’re parents want to pay 300 bucks more a semester for suites so you can get a bathroom between two rooms not seven go to Frontier.

This^^^. I lived in Frontier and T-Hall had a lot more action going on. Having said that, Frontier is still a dorm! You will still see crazy things…

Good luck!

I hate crowded bathrooms, so frontier is the place without the crazy bathroom situation?

I lived in Frontier hall as a Freshman and in Territorial as a Sophomore (in 1982-83 and 1983-84) D1 is in Frontier this year as a Freshman. Both halls are part of the “Superblock”.

Territorial was built in 1958 and Frontier in 1959 and they were originally nearly identical. They are a pretty typical dorm setup with almost all double rooms and common bathrooms that serve about a dozen rooms.

In 1999 a new wing was added to Territorial. It is pretty much the same as the rest of the dorm. Double rooms, common baths, etc.

In 2002 a new wing was added to Frontier. It is made up of two room “suites”. Each room has it’s own sink, and the two rooms share a bathroom with shower. D1 is in one of the “suites” and she likes it pretty well. The only drawback is that since the bathrooms can only be accessed from inside the rooms, the kids are responsible for their own cleaning and stocking.
