DORMs- what did you get?

Thanks for all the info! Littlefield definitely sounds awesome! I was able to look at the floorplan through the reslife site and my room looks so big, haha.

Jameson House in Keeney

after looking at those plans, it seems like my room is literally a closet (a closet which is supposed to be a double, at that)... i think something isnt quite right here

Hope College, Main Green, rm 415

Bronson House 225

I'm in Poland -- does anyone know how big the keeney doubles are, in general? I think the housing description just lists the size for singles.

I am living in Morriss Hall... in Pembroke.

I hear Verizon sucks there.

How is verizon in keeney?

I'm in South Wayland House, seems like the first one here. Anyone have any info about it? I googled it but couldn't find anything except that it's used a housing over winterbreak for athletes... which sucks.

Woolley Hall 411

Hey, mine is a closet too . . .

Littlefield!

I'm in North Wayland, does anybody know if they provide a storage for us when we have to clear our rooms for winter break when the temporary athletes live there.

^^ I'd like to know too, because I know they do the same thing in Littlefield.

could someone like modestmelody or any other brown '09/'08 tell me if this is my room as shown on the virtual tour (it's 4th floor archibald house with the bay windows):

http://www.brown.edu/Students/Bruin_Club/vtour/stop13d.html

I believe that that is it. I can't view the exact picture while on Linux but I do recall that one of the QVTRs was of a Keeney dorm with the bay windows.

if that's it then i just peed my pants

Then pee, because judging from the floor plan, that's where you are.

in im Emery 116.. any info on that?

Wayland is nice -- it's a small dorm (all one unit) right on Wriston. The rooms aren't as nice as Littlefield, but it's a good location.

About the winter storage thing -- both Wayland and Littlefield have large closets, and over the winter break they'll give you a key, so you can lock anything that you want in your closet. I locked up my valuable stuff, but I left a bunch of stuff in my storage boxes under my bed (linens, clothes, etc). If you know a winter athlete and want them to stay in your room, you can request that, and they do their best to match rooms up by sex (girls staying in girls' rooms, etc). It's kind of a hassle, but it's not like you need to be worried about these people stealing things or messing up your room, since they're held accountable by the University and don't really want any discipline problems. Plus, you get $100 for your trouble, which is nice.
