Dorms?

I'm sure a lot of questions have already been asked about dorms, but could someone please give a quick rundown on them again? What are the main differences between Loschert and South?

Loschert and South and virtually the same thing. They were built at the same time in the same style and are composed of doubles or triples with community bathrooms and no air conditioning. The only difference is that South houses the Science Integrated Learning Community - a program for freshmen science majors.

Queen’s Court is the historic dormitory with beautiful bishop’s lounge. It is also doubles and triples without air conditioning. One wing has private bathrooms, but the other two have community bathrooms. The dorm is a “residential college” meaning it has additional community programs, access to discounted Broadway tickets, cool events, etc. It is also the Wellness dorm, so you need to write an essay pledging to refrain from drugs and alcohol while in Queen’s Court.

Martyr’s Court is the largest dorm and it is also doubles and triples with community bathrooms and no air conditioning. One wing houses the Manresa Scholar’s program which is another residential college. This is a little different in that you take certain core classes in your dorm with some of Fordham’s best faculty members.

All four freshmen residence halls are grouped together around several courtyards. In the middle is a deli and the student-run coffee shop. I think it’s a pretty good setup for Freshmen.
