What is the deal with the dorms? Which are the nicest? Do any of them have individual bathrooms per room?
Thanks so much!!

What is the deal with dorms: Hmm that’s a pretty open question; not sure how to answer that haha

Which are the nicest: All dorms have their pros and cons depending on what you’re looking at.
For example,

Lawrinson was fully renovated this year so they have the cleanest private bathrooms (not like the big public bathrooms that most dorms have) and laundry room on each floor instead of in the basement, BUT it’s located in the corner of the universe.

Ernie Davis opened a few years ago so it’s the most popular and cleanest, BUT it has the main dining hall so very crowded and noisy

Do any of them have their own bathrooms: I know some dorms do but it’s very very few. My friends who lived in an open triple had their own bathroom and my RA friend had her own bathroom in her single. Try checking out the floor maps for the different dorms.

Thanks! Do you know anything about Watson?

Watson is right in the center of campus, so it has the best location if you want to be near everything. It’s shaped like a big square with open space in the middle so people can lay on the grass and etc without the whole school passing by. Watson also has some classrooms in the building.

But it’s known to be the dirtiest and oldest. Some of my friends do/did live there, and they have no problem but I personally would never live there.

Feel free to ask any more questions! Are you going to be a freshman?

Holdahand, I’m going to be applying to Syracuse in September. Would you suggest waiting until school starts back up again to visit the campus so I can get a complete feel for it, or should I visit before I apply during the summer just to see the campus?

Visit during the year. It’s a bit too… idyllic during the summer.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, thats what I was thinking because barely any of the students would be there. But I figured I can get a pretty general feel for the campus over the summer, plus its in my state. We’ll see lol.

yeaah i agree with awesomeguy; its the students that make the campus feel alive and what it really is :)

Yeah, like visiting Penn State. Going back when school starts, with the 30,000 kids, is going to be a huge eye opener. Can’t wait :D
