Which dorms are the nicest?

The nicest dorms are on Laird campus, but my son said they may only have one bldg. of freshman next year. Also they are further from classrooms than the other dorms. He says that East campus is going to be all freshman next year. Though they are older, it is probably the best location to be on campus. (He’s very happy there) You can put a preference, but i don’t know how much that means. Why don’t you contact the office of housing and ask them how it works.

Having gone through this last year, you do not get to specify any preference in regard to location. Your assignment is based on your FYE (basically your major). You do get to specify location as an upperclassmen.

I heard that it is mostly sports management/athletes in the laird campus. can a current student tell me if this is true or not? where do the business majors usually get placed? the fye class is usually kids of your same major, therefore there would be groups of the same majors in certain dorms is what i heard. shed some light on this subject for me!

honestly it really depends. on my floor i have nursing, english, bio, pre vet people whatever their major is, fashion, communications, and a sports management and i dont even know there might be more. and it varies from year to year. i know a LOT of business majors are actually on laird this year, but next year i think at least some of george reade is going to be honors so you cant really tell until you get your assignment.

I know business majors in dickenson as well, so it really depends.
