Dornsife's IRGB vs Marshall's BAIR

Currently, I am enrolled in Dornsife's International Relations: Global Business major and am looking to switch to Marshall's Business Admin.- IR major.

Reasons to switch:
I am concerned that Dornsife will not be able to offer the same networking/ internship/ job opportunities that Marshall does with their BAIR major. Marshall offers so much in terms of connecting students with alumni, recruiters, internships, and work overseas. I am concerned that I will not have the same opportunities. Also, the IRGB diploma simply says International Relations and does not mention Global Business. Will I be shut out of jobs that want a business degree? Will I have opportunities in Dornsife equal to those in Marshall?

Reasons to stay:
The IRGB major is much more compatible with my second major: French. The rep from Marshall said it would be challenging to do both BAIR and French b/c the business school curriculum is so set. However, the rep from Dornsife said it should be no problem to do IRGB and French.

Should I switch or just stay where I am? Thanks for all your help!

My D and I went to Admitted Students Day this past Saturday where she was able to speak with Professor Lamy. My D was admitted to Dornsife and was interested in the IRGB major with a language minor. Although he created the IRGB major, Professor Lamy told her that he now recommends a double major of IR and Economics. He is obviously biased but he was not a fan of the BA major. I’ve always thought it would be useful for my D to get an MBA anyway which i believe you can do with any undergraduate major.
