So,

I put down for my frost school of music audition file that I wanted to audition in vocal performance. THose that have read my posts know that I am also considering musical theater. So, I called up the head of the voice program (which includes MT) and he said why not double audition for both on the same day?

First, I was wondering if this makes things so so so much more stressful than they would normally be? But, I also want to know if anybody has attempted to do this before and if they've had success?

The only thing is...auditions are Feb ruary 8th...I don't have a monologue or songs yet so if I decide to do this I'm heading out to the library in 10 minutes!

I'd say go for it! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain, right?

except an empty resume X_X haha...that would indeed look bad I am thinking.

Do you have to have completely different rep for each audition or is there som overlap? A friend of my D's is auditioning there for vocal performance and she is doing a classical song and a MT song for the classical audition. She says that is okay with them. She is also auditioning at Berklee.

I'm also auditioning at Berklee!!! Haha. That is funny.
Well, I also was thinking of doing one classical song and one musical theater song (not sure if they'd let that count...I think not butr I would hope maybe haha.)
Is your friend passionate about contemporary or classical voice? Just out of curiosity.

My D says this friend is most interested in contemporary. She sings a lot of R&B.

I think I might just send in a video...which I know hardly ever gets people accepted but still haha. What else am I gonna do?
