Double Count

Hi guys, I'm at the risk of falling under 60 units before transferring this fall so I signed up for art history and U.S government and politics. I took the A.P test for U.S gov senior year in high school and got a 3. I put that on the UC app and they gave me credits for it. Would taking this class be a waste if they won't count it due to the A.P test? Should I switch out? Thanks to all!

Yes, taking the class IS a waste. If you already have 60 units with AP credit, then you are fine. If you still need 60 units even with AP Credit, take another class, just remember that you have to hit the 60 unit threshold with the classes you take in the spring semester.

Yeah this is for intersession that will count towards spring. There is some cute chicks in this class but it is more important I transfer out lol. Thanks collegedropout for the quick response!

not disagree with @CollegeDropout1‌ , how cute are the chicks?? jk, if havent reached the 70 unit limit then the class might not be a complete waste of time. Since you already taken the AP class, you can always pick a select cohort to study with if they need extra tutoring… good way to practice social skills

@Dagoberto Hahaha, I was in this exact same situation this semester. There was this really cute girl I was trying to talk to, so I decided to stay in a children’s literature class. Later on in the semester I found out she already had a boyfriend. I wasted a lot of time, hahaha.

Hey guys, @CollegeDropout1 and @Dagoberto, I managed to get a C in the class that I was worried about not passing. With all the my spring courses totaled, I have more than 60 units, so I’m fine. The girls at UC Davis should be much better than the ones at my CC…hopefully ;)

@frickles congrats on being an aggie. You are probably right that you will find beautiful girls at Davis.
