Double deposit

USC doesn’t have a waitlist, counselors know this. Don’t add on to the double deposit with lies, it will come back at you. Agree, make a decision. It’s almost a month after at this point.

I don’t think the schools will contact your hs. They aren’t babysitters and it is your responsibility to get the correct documents in. You won’t be allowed to attend or register if you don’t get the right documents submitted.

Do what you want. Don’t be surprised if you get caught and dropped by both schools. And they keep the deposits.

im so sorry guys

Where is the indecision? Money? Majors? Maybe we can help with that.

a lot of things

travel, money,sports,smaller school,ect…

Both are excellent schools. Given those issues, is there one that is easier for you mentally and financially? I assume you have your financial packages/COA at this point.

They definitely might and it could be cause to rescind your offer. Agree with the advice to pick one immediately. Particularly this year where enrollment is at record numbers, schools may be looking for an excuse to cut some people loose.

Please stop apologizing and just give useful information. We don’t know you. We are not working for Michigan or USC, or your high school, or your parents. We just want to help you resolve the problem.

I am half suspicious that this post is not legit, but in the event that it is, please explain clearly why you are unable to choose. What’s the difference in money? Is the money isn’t a concern, go to the school you prefer. Mental health issues are a problem, but are they more problematic by going to one school over the other?

You need to give us more to go on. We don’t know why you like one school better than the other, or why you don’t like one school as much as the other.

You will feel so unburdened with a decision. And with those two schools, it would be hard to make a wrong choice. Is distance and away from family support an issue? Climate? Do you see yourself happier at one over the other?

They are similar schools in some ways: big, sports/football oriented, great academically. Location and weather not so much. Are you concerned about going to a big school? Is one school closer to you than the other?

If you’re feeling concerned about attending in the fall due to mental health concerns you could also pick one and request a deferral for a year. That would give you time to work on your health and work through the other factors.

the worst part is that I have roomates at both schools.

You need to do what is best for you and your mental health. They can find a new roommate. However, if you want to attend in the fall you need to decide ASAP.

Do the old coin flip and see how you feel about which school “won”.

You can only attend one school. Make a choice, go with it and don’t second guess yourself. As far as the roommates at both schools…I’m not sure what the bigger problem you are facing is. Your indecision or your insincerity. Where are your parents in this story? I would suggest you pick a school that will best help you grow as a person. Good luck!

You do need to decide, the sooner the better. The longer you keep two active deposits, the more likely things can go bad…but, I don’t think either school is going to rescind you for double depositing.

It’s not likely the USC AO will call your GC for a transcript, but it is possible, say if they have a pre-existing relationship. Then, technically, your GC should report the double deposit to both schools…who knows if they will or not, and who knows what either school would do, but why let this potential chain of events happen where it’s completely out of your control?

Fix this now, while it’s still in your control to do so.

If you can’t make a decision for yourself, make it for the roommate you are going to drop…so you can give them as much time as possible to find someone else.

Do your parents know and where are they in this decision? Are both schools affordable?
