As of now I'm a double major in Geography and International Affairs. However, I'm now considering bumping Geography down to a minor and doubling in Journalism (newspapers) and International Affairs. Is this too much?

It's certainly a heavy load, but it's doable. You don't necessarily have to double major and add a minor. A double major or major/minor combination is fine. Follow your gut feeling and enjoy college.

It depends what college you attend and how rigorous the school is. The minor on top of a double major may be a bit unless. It seems as though journalism and international affairs would help you more in your career (assuming its journalism), than geography would.

It depends on the major, the actual courseload of the major, and of course what you're willing to put in to it. I know for me at least (a hopeful double major Russian & Slavic Studies and Philosophy alongside an IR or public policy minor) I will work my tail off to make sure I can manage the course load :) however once I get accepted to Vandy/Yale/etc fingers crossed I might change my mind seeing how crazy the workload may get.
