Hello, I'm currently at West Virginia University in the general studies program. It seems absolutely all the majors that I am interested in are social sciences. One that really interests me in International Studies. Are there any Int. Studies majors here that can tell me the pros and cons? Also, would it be worth it to double major in International Studies and Geography? Thanks!

Can anyone share input?

All I can speak for is Geography because I used to be a Geo minor before I switched. Even still though I only took 3 classes so take it with a grain of salt.

The geography major had very little if anything to do with international studies from my experience. It is mostly focus on planetary and environmental geographic regions as well as political boundaries, policy, and natural resources.

For International studies a good minor would be political science with your area of focus specifically in International politics.

Thanks for the input. Anyone else have a good compliment to International Studies, or just any advice or information on it?

Anyone else have any thoughts? Either double majoring in International Studies and Pol Sci/Geography.
