Double Major and Minor

Is anyone else thinking about that yet? Does anyone know what the difference is...sorry if this is posted somewhere else...but you all are like my main support. If you're considering it, please specify which and why.

I'm looking at environmental studies...or urban and regional studies...

This is why I LOVE UCLA (UC's in general) SOOOOOOOOOO much variety and accessibility.

keep in mind you must do it under 216 units usually and b4 you can double major you must do all preqs for both majors and take 2 upper division courses in each major

yea…I’m looking more into the ranks of a minor…seems more suitable for what I want to do. As I was doing some research on it last night, I realized double major seemed too intense. Can’t believe no one else around here has looked into it. Consider it!

are you going to do a minor? i was thinking about it too, actually leaning towards it 90%.

Yea I’m leaning toward it about 99%. As a transfer with every prereq done I might as well fill up my schedule with other classes that help emphasize my degree. If you look at UCLA’s list of minors and required classes for such, there is soooo many interesting topics. I would LOVE to explore the resource and opportunity that is available just for fun…why not get something on my degree while doing it :p

check them out!

yeah i’m gonna do political science, i’m majoring in sociology so having that will give me a little push when i apply for law school.

yea minoring can definitely give you that edge when you apply to grad school. It contributes to some extra depth that adds a bit of uniqueness(is that even a word, hah) to your profile and app.
I’m for sure thinking grad school, and a minor in environmental science with a major in arch would be perfect so sustainable building.

When double majoring, does anyone know if you get two bachelors degree upon graduation, or just one?

How easy is it to change majors once accepted to UCLA?

if it isn’t an impacted major i don’t think it is very difficult.
