I plan to go to UC Berkeley and am having some trouble picking majors and minors. I really want to major in Anthropology focusing in archaeology and also major in English. Also, I want to minor in womens studies. Is this too crazy and risky? I plan on getting my phd in Archaeology, a masters degree in English and a certificate or associates degree in Womens Studies. I really enjoy all of these subjects but do not know how crazy it would be.
Thank you!
Take some classes in those areas first. You’ll likely change your goals and interests anyway.
You’re going to be in school until ur 35 if you actually get all those degrees…
AFAIK you only have to declare your major in your second year, so I would suggest using your first to explore which one/ones are right for you
The great thing about college is that you can take classes on various topics that interest you. You can take a couple on the same general topic without getting an actual minor. I remember wanting to double major in a social science and in English but didn’t because it required a lot of English courses. Instead, I took a couple of upper level literature courses as electives.
Assuming you are accepted - no one knows until tomorrow…
