Double major in international studies and business

Im currently a freshman at University of Oregon, planning to double major in International Studies and some sort of Business program(finance, economic, marketing).

I have background of fluency in Chinese and Japanese.

Not a huge nerd of math, thats why possibly towards marketing, advertisement, not hard core math related business

Anyone doing/did this double major? Landed a good career? Any international jobs? Internships?
Any advice on how I should be doing about this?

Look into the State Department Foreign Service. I would check now to make sure you get the appropriate credits.

I had a double major in Finance and International Business Administration. My international portion was focused on international commerce though. It sounds like yours is more like political science? Try the CIA, FBI, etc. too.

I got approached by all of those recruiters during my time in the Army. I was a linguist/parachutist in Civil Affairs which is a special operations position. They love Linguists, and really anyone with a business discipline (They prefer Accounting and Finance types). The NSA likes math people for their cryptology junk. Anyway I got familiar with what they are interested in. Those jobs would be fun for anyone and I’m not talking about any spy type positions. Unless that is what you want.

for business there are plenty of spots for Marketing and PR types that can help in multinational business, and international business.

They need specialists that know how to market to specific groups overseas. Japanese and Chinese prospects react differently than Americans do to ads. Just having an understanding of cultural differences will land you a spot in a company. You may know Asia better, but having the ability to recognize cultural differences will make you valuable in Europe, Africa, South America, etc.
