Is that even possible? If so, how do you go about applying to the separate schools...

Sorry if this sounds dumb, just wondering.

It is possible to do so, just don't expect to graduate within four years. It'll be more like 5. I was looking into it myself, actually. I think I might do communications degree though as the compliment to music industry degree, because it features all the different aspects of the music industry that I'd be interested in as well, including journalism and PR I believe. I suggest getting a supplementary degree in either business (like you wanted), marketing, or advertising. Also, the way it works, as told to me by an admissions counselor, is that you have to be admitted into one school, then once you are enrolled and attending USC in your major, you can ask to double major. Usually there is no hassle involved, seeing as USC encourages students to double-major, minor, and even double-minor. Oh, and tip: Make sure to fill out the 1st and second choice sections when they ask you for majors. That way you'll have three possible chances to get in: as an business major, MI major, and then undecided major. Good luck. I'm applying too! Hope to be classmates haha ;)

I know that journalism majors are strongly encouraged to double-major, so I doubt they make it so hard that you have to graduate in 5 years. You might need to take some summer classes, perhaps.

You'll need to choose one program to apply for, and once you've been accepted you can ask the other school about majoring in a different department on top of your current major.

Thanks you guys, really helpful. I guess I'll worry about graduation rate when I get in...haha. The communications degree is an interesting alternative.

Good luck in the Fall, Andy! USC can't turn us down...

Lol lets hope not, I'm gonna apply as a Fall '07 transfer. I can't wait, and I hope I get in. :) Yea I thought that communications would cover alot of different bases since its such a broad major, and I think that along with music industry, it'd be a good fit, and alot less competitive than the music industry program. :/

I hope we both make it into USC :)
