Does anyone know how double majoring or minoring at BC works?
I got into Carroll undecided, and I kind of want to double major in finance and IS. I also am considering finance major with a computer science minor. Are these even possible to do? And IF they are possible, what would be the number of credits I would need?
Thanks.

There are no majors in CSOM, there are only concentrations. You graduate from BC with a degree in management and a concentration in _____. Yes, tehse are very possible to do, I currently have a finance concentration and hopefully IS as well. Finance only requires 4 courses and I believe the same holds true for IS.

Dear clamchaoder : Yes, it is very possible to execute a major in CSOM with a minor in the CAS (arts and sciences). Your starting point are the web sites for each of the requisite departments at BC. From there, you will know the minimum requirements for each. To begin the process, list all of the core courses needed, the major requirements and then the minor requirements. In essence, you will take either four or five courses per semester for eight semesters. At this point, you begin pencilling-in the roadmap. Note that your advisor in June should be able to help you get started. If you already know your major/concentration, so much the better. This is where AP credits (or IB credits) will come in handy as they can clear away some core courses and allow more flexibility in deriving your four year plan.
