Does anyone know approximately what percentage of the students at the Marshall School of Business are double majors? For double majors at Marshall, what are some of the more prevalent 2nd majors? Thank you for your counsel and any words of wisdom that you may have.

+1 i would also like to know this

What are you looking to double major in?
I’ve never been supportive of double majoring; instead I’d rather opt to focusing on one and getting the best grades possible. Being a double major won’t increase your chances of getting a job but to each their own :)

wait really? why would anyone ever want to double major then??

If you have an extremely specific career goal in mind then sometimes it is beneficial to double major but more often than not you could achieve the same goal by simply minoring in the second field of study. Some people simply love school and part of college is exploring your academic interests. After a few semesters you might realize you love a non-business subject and you decide you’d love to double major in that subject too.

@OP and 6mtguy - If you are only concerned with getting the most prestigious and highly paid business job possible out of undergrad then you should be primarily concerned with getting a high gpa, becoming heavily involved in leadership & extra curricular activities, and gaining as much work experience as possible through internships.

For example my primary interest is working in Finance but I’d also like to improve my math and computer programming skills so I am considering doing the mathematical finance minor and taking several semesters of comp sci(but not doing a fully minor).

So as kmzizzle stated, what other academic interests do you have beside your business administration major?
