Double major

Hi, I was wondering how hard it is to double major. How does the process work at UCSB? Is it easy to get the major I want for my 2nd major? I might double major in mathematical science and either statistics, economics, computer science if possible. Also, don't I have to pay extra money if I want to double major? Thank you

You only have to pay more money if it takes you more time, as far as I know (maybe there is some odd situation I don’t know about.) You have to get the major. So if you want computer science in the engineering department, you have to get into the engineering department which isn’t easy - but someone said everyone who had actually completed all the prereqs and applied to change majors this year was able to into CS, so there is a chance. Econ has a weeding process and you have to get above a certain gpa in certain weeder classes (with a tough curve) to be accepted to the major. Stat, I don’t know. It is probably on the web page, though.
