Hey, I know that double major may cause you to overextend and thus a more challenging (but not impossible) task of attaining a high GPA. However, if the two majors compliment each other or serve as say a back up career plan, don't you think it's worth it?

(considering the fact that there's two fields that I am extremely interested and be tough to drop one for the other)

The point is simply that you should not use a double major to impress medical schools. If you have your own purposes, then I think it's usually worth it.

I agree with your assesement. I actually want to study those two fields (poly. sci and physiological sciences). I usually read up on subjects that relate to those two majors because I care about them and find them to be fascinating.

BTW, sorry for creating this thread. There's a "double major" thread at the bottom that I didn't see at first.

double if u really wanna go in depth in both majors. if you are just interested and like the subject matter in one major and more interested in the other, minor in the less interesting one. Double majors are difficult and the cons outweigh the pros (if u just wanna do to impress adcoms).
