Double Major

Who here on CC is working on a double major at UCF... or knows of someone who is?

I plan on majoring in both Computer Science and Management. Also, I will be doing a BS/MS in Computer Science (the 5 year program). I emailed the CS department a while back and they said that anything is possible. I plan to attend all summers, which will hopefully let me graduate in 5 years. This is also why I applied to UCF's summer 2009 term.

Does anyone know/think this is possible to complete in five years? I know that the CS department lets you take classes pertaining to your major when you are a freshman... while the business department requires completion of Gen. Ed. courses before taking classes pertaining to the Management major.

I will be discussing this with my academic advisor at orientation, but since it will not be until May/June.. I thought I would get some advice from actual students.

Also, will tuiton be higher with a double major?

Thank you.

I don't really have much information on what you can do seeing as how I'm an incoming freshman as well. But as for tuition costs, yes it will be more expensive because of the amount of classes you are going to take. (Although I don't know if it'll be more expensive specifically because of your double major) Additionally, Bright Futures does NOT pay for summer credits. I just checked and the Pegasus scholarship is sent to you every fall and spring semester, so unless you can save up some money from that it looks like neither of these scholarships will cover your summer courses :/

Well, either way, with a CS degree I am going to have to take some classes over the summer... so hopefully financial aid will cover some of the expenses, and possibly outside scholarships.
I am also considering maybe just a minor in Entrepreneurship and/or Secure Comping and Networks (SCAN).

There are so many options. I love both Computer Science and Business, and I don't want to give one up for the other.
