I do know that it is possible to double major between Goizueta and the Emory College, but was wondering if anybody knew

1.If there were any majors that were not compatible or too difficult to do it with

Is it possible to do it in four years if the two majors are not particularly compatible like Finance and Political Science?

I hear that Finance and Political Science would be virtually impossible in four years, so is there another subject area within Goizueta that would allow for a four year finish?

Is it just not possible to do Finance and Political Science because there is too much work and it is just too hard and demanding or is it just not able to be done with credits over four years (note that I’d be willing to spend a summer or two if necessary-but then again I don’t know if that is even saying much, so please help me).

My D is doing a double major in the Business School and the College. She hasn't decided on the Business concentration (probably Management) but the College major is Neuroscience and Biological Behavior (NBB). It is very difficult and requires a lot of dedication and determination. She has to do summer school this summer and probably will only be able to do a summer abroad (not the semester that she wanted). It was hard for her to find a professor to be her advisor but finally found one who is supportive. It also helped that she came in with 16 AP credits and got admitted to the Business School as a second semester sophomore. Bottom line is that it is difficult but not impossible. (And yes, she still has an active social life, doesn't study all the time, and doesn't have fantastic grades.)

If you have a 4 or 5 on your AP exam, then Emory will accept the credit. Sometimes, however, for like Biology, you may be required to take the class again at Emory despite reciving credit for the AP bio class you took. Also, if you took college courses before, they'll accept those as long as you forward them a transcript and the class wasn't credit towards high school graduation.

This means that the POLI 201 Intro to US Govn't class I took over the summer doesn't count because I used it for high school govn't requirements. Hope this helps!

"sometimes, however, for like Biology, you may be required to take the class again at Emory despite reciving credit for the AP bio class you took."

What azn means is that sometimes the credit you get is not for the course that you need. AP Bio receives credit for Bio 120, which is basically Bio for nonmajors. If you're premed/dental/etc. or a bio/chem major, then you would want to take bio 141, which you can't get AP credit for. Or probably transfer credit for either because it has a genetics component to it, unlike most Intro to Bio classes.
