I have been accepted to the Peabody school, for the cognitive studies major. How difficult would it be to double major in the school of A&S (most likely biology or mathematics)? How would this compare to switching schools to A&S? What about a double degree? If any current students have had experience with regard to this and could share it would be very helpful.

My opinion is that it is easier to double major in A&S and Peabody with Peabody as your main school, given the core requirements are more lenient in Peabody.

The requirements in Peabody are typically not too time consuming. Lots of people pick up a second major in A&S. You’d definitely want to keep Peabody as your primary. Just try and make sure you pick liberal arts core electives that will apply to your A&S major when possible.

For most Peabody majors (education in particular) you are required to list Peabody as your home school and complete Peabody’s core requirements. Those core requirements vary by major; the education majors need to complete certain core classes to qualify for licensure. I am designing my own major that is half A&S, half Peabody, and crossing between schools is actually very easy!
