Double majoring

What are a good couple of double majors? Would Applied physiology and kinesiology and biology be good to double major in if you are going premed?

I wouldn't double major. It's unnecessary, especially for med school.

I know i was just referring to med school because of the required courses for both of these 2 majors when going on the premed track. I was just thinking that if its only a couple more classes why not but I wouldn't do it if it required a substantial amount of extra courses.

Even if it's a few more courses, I still wouldn't do it. I would spend the time you would have to invest in those courses on your application, meaning use that time to do more research, Shands volunteer hours, study for MCAT, etc. A few courses may not seem like too much, but it can be, and it really will affect the more important things you have to do as a premed. Med school could care less that you doubled majored, I would stick to one and keep a high gpa.

BTW: In general, a good test to determine if you should double -- Would you take those same extra courses even if you were not given the second major for it?

If you really, really want to double major. I suggest biology/anthropology, biology/psychology, anthropology/psychology. I have friends doing two of the three.

Thanks but I think i'll just stick with APK and use that extra time for research etc. lol

What about English and Art History?

Thats probably very doable because all the english majors I know either graduate in 3 yrs or they wait to take their last class in the semester they want to graduate. Adding art history (do we have that major?) is doable.

APK is the major for me. I LOVE anatomy and sports and exercise physiology and learning about injures and the body movement truly fascinates me (weird I know but its what I love).
