I've been considering Tufts as a definite possibility when i apply next year but i want to do Economics & Mathematics and from what i read on the website i can only double major in Mathematics & Engineering. Did i just not get the whole picture?

They offer a special double-major program in Math+engineering, but of course you can take math classes and econ classes and end up with a double-major.

I have several friends, actually, who double-majored in Econ (be it normal or Quantitative Econ) and mathemetics. You can definitely pair the math major with any other major in the liberal arts college (if that's what you apply to) or the engineering school (if that's what you apply to).

My friend triple majored in Quantitative economoics, mathematics, and mechanical engineering - so no, it's not definitive :)

I'm double majoring in Quant. Econ and Math.. definitely encouraged by the university and not too too bad i would say..
