Hi, I want to major in economics and finance, but I heard that that's not possible because they're in two different schools? So what exactly could I do now? I really want to learn both. :(

I’m double majoring in Finance and International Business then doing a minor in Economics at the College.

Although you can’t have that ‘Economics Major’ on your diploma, you can take enough classes to get a good background for grad school in econ (what I may go for). For example, one of my IB electives can be in econ same for Finance etc.

Hm…that’s one option I’ll consider. I actually think that I’m more for Econ, so is there a finance minor? Also, I thought International Business was in Walsh o.o

anyone else?? i need to decide on which school to apply to very soon

IB is in McDonough (all business disciplines are) and there is no “finance” minor but I believe a business minor, you need the whole picture its hard to pull out the “finance” piece with the interconnected field of business.

Yeah i found out by looking through the brochure again. It’s weird 'cause IB sounds like it’ll be in Walsh. Anyway, thanks for the advice! :)
