Which do you think is better?

Should I just go for a triple residence hall? Is it worth the 1.5k in savings?

double is way better than a triple

but as a freshman there is no way you’re going to get a double anyways even if you go for it so just go for a triple plaza

are you given your choice room type on a first come first serve basis?

you’re not given anything on first come first serve, for freshman you just submit it by the deadline and its a random draw

i guess if you mean like your ranking, then yes i would guess they would try to put your in your first preference before your last

second year on you literally pick which exact room you want so there is none of the ranking of preferences

Doubles = ALWAYS worth it. But it’s not really your choice, UCLA just pretends to give you a choice. I know plenty of people who requested plazas and got halls and who requested halls but got plazas.

I feel like a moron for asking, but what is the difference between plaza and hall? Where are the parties at?

just put down double, and prepare for a triple :D

omegared, see the housing thread.

parties are off campus. :p

some freshmen do get doubles. like me! so there is a chance

About 90% of freshmen are in triples. Put double first, but just know you’ll prob be in a triple.
