Doubling up on AP CHem and BIo?

So this is my next year's course load:

AP Bio
AP Chem
Some random semester long English classes
PE class
Choir class (yeah.. LOL I like choir)
Pre-calc

I'm planning to go to med school, and due to my current circumstance I need to take these 2 classes in my junior year. These are my only rigorous class, so what do you think-- is it insane?

they gutted both of these classes to where they are not as hard as they used to be and since they are the only hard classes on your schedule it is definitely doable

Depends on what kind of student you are and to be blunt, how smart you are. I am in chemistry and for a lot of people it is near impossible, for others it is intuitive. The work in chemistry is completely dependent on how quickly you can understand the topic. I am not in bio but my understanding of it is that it is more memorization based and there will be more of what seems like busy work.

That’s definitely a lot of science in one year, but it’s doable. I’ve taken AP chem last year and am currently in AP Bio. Both are challenging in their own ways. Chem is more skill based (usually more worksheets, and practice problems for hw), while Bio is memorizing (reading the textbook). If you are going into a science related major, it would be super beneficial to take both because of the potential to receive college credit, and get ahead. If you aren’t eligible for credit, its still worth it because of the knowledge and experience you gain.

I personally enjoyed both classes a lot , just takes a lot of hard work and dedication

Nobody can say how another individual will cope with a given class. I have taken 6 APs in a year yet others can barely manage 2. Of course bio and chem at the same time is possible. You just need to have a good work ethic and motivation
