I submitted my app a few minutes after the deadline; on CommonApp, it said it was submitted on 01/02/2009. (The supplement was on time.) Now it says that both the supplement and app were downloaded on 01/02/2009. Does this mean everything's OK, and I won't be penalized for submitting the app late? What if the payment was late?

hahahahahahah

I'm in the exact same boat

submitted comm app & supp in on 01/01, but it says downloaded 01/02

and I handed in the payment on 01/02 (because I submitted the application at 11:59PM so I couldn't pay them until 12:01ish so it was late

JUST FROM WORD OF MOUTH, they are sometimes lenient; yet, sometimes, they just disregard the application altogether (coming from an Emory counselor)

they usually download it the day after you submit.

If it's downloaded it means they accepted it.

Yeah... as long as the submit date is correct.

The submit date ISN'T correct, though. Because of time zone differences, the app was submitted on 01/02/2009. But now, the submitted dates aren't even showing; only the "downloaded" dates are showing. I'm hoping lolcats4 is right, and this means that they are being lenient...?

That would be a huge relief.

If you see that your application or supplement has been downloaded, the school has printed your application or supplement and it is under review.

I had the same thing happen to me as siemprecuriosa, except my application shows downloaded but my supplement hasn't been downloaded yet. They were both shown submitted 1/2/09 because of the time difference--I'm on the West Coast and I didn't realize it was due by 12 EST. Do you think I'm okay? I'll probably call the admissions office anyways to be sure, but I could really use some reassurance right now. Thanks!
